The Langham Hotel is London’s first large hotel, opened in 1852. It is located in the core of London's West End. The hotel is in walking distance from the shopping areas of Regent, Oxford and Bond Street and famous shops, like Selfridges or Debenhams.
It is close to such sightseeing as Madam Tussauds, Tate Modern, Tate Britain, London Eye, London Zoo, Regents Park and Buckingham Palace.
The hotel was named after Sir James Langham who, in 1820, had built a mansion on the site, subsequently named Langham Place.
The Langham Hotel was renovated in 1992 and now has 429 rooms. The standard rooms are large and decorated in traditional style, with a choice of twin, king’s size or double beds and have all the standard facilities. The executive rooms offer superior luxury. All executive rooms have a seating area with a sofa bed and set in the historic part of the hotel.

Das Personal ist hier aufmerksam, umsichtig und freundlich. Und herrscht eine ruhige und angenehme Atmospäre. Ja, das Hotel ist nicht so billig, aber ohne Moos nichts los.

Grea! A very luxuriouus hotel with all the necessary facilities to make the traveller's stay comfortable. The staff were very friendly and I was made most welcome. The rooms were super and the marble bathroom was pretty special. Room service was prompt.The location is fabulous and I would defintely recommend it.

We just came back home from the flawless Langham Hotel. Housekeeping was good, and would even wash any dishes we left in our kitchenette. We also liked the bathroom showers - they worked well. Definitely we will visit this hotel again.

Nothing less than impeccable accommodation and superb treatment. Everything in the room was clean with plenty of towels for the shower and Jacuzzi. We had a pleasant vacation and plannig comming back to this attractive hotel.
